Cajun Alfredo Sauce

Ingredients
  

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • cups heavy cream
  • ¾ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • teaspoons Cajun seasoning adjust to taste
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • ¼ teaspoon smoked paprika or cayenne pepper optional

Method
 

  1. Melt Butter
  2. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter until just bubbling.
  3. Sauté Garlic
  4. Add garlic and cook for about 30 seconds, until fragrant (do not brown).
  5. Add Cream
  6. Pour in heavy cream and stir. Bring to a gentle simmer.
  7. Season
  8. Stir in Cajun seasoning, black pepper, and optional paprika or cayenne.
  9. Add Cheese
  10. Reduce heat to low and gradually whisk in Parmesan until smooth and creamy.
  11. Adjust & Serve
  12. Taste and adjust salt and spice. Serve immediately or keep warm on low heat.
