Ingredients
  

  • Fries
  • 1 lb frozen French fries or homemade fries
  • Cooking spray or oil as needed
  • Chili
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 small onion finely diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp chili seasoning or to taste
  • 1 cup tomato sauce or crushed tomatoes
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • Cheese Topping
  • cups shredded cheddar cheese or cheddar blend
  • Optional Toppings
  • Sour cream
  • Green onions
  • Jalapeños

Method
 

  1. Prepare fries according to package instructions until extra crispy. Set aside.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add onion and cook until softened. Stir in garlic and cook until fragrant.
  4. Add chili seasoning and tomato sauce. Simmer for 10–15 minutes until thick.
  5. Spread crispy fries on a baking sheet or serving platter.
  6. Spoon hot chili evenly over fries.
  7. Sprinkle shredded cheese generously on top.
  8. Place under the broiler or in the oven until cheese is melted.
  9. Add optional toppings and serve immediately.
