Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts or thighs
  • 8 cups chicken broth
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened and cubed
  • 2 cups egg noodles
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp salt adjust to taste
  • 1 tsp dried parsley optional

Method
 

  1. Add chicken, chicken broth, onion, and garlic to a large pot.
  2. Bring to a gentle simmer and cook until chicken is fully cooked and tender (about 15–20 minutes).
  3. Remove chicken, shred it, and set aside.
  4. Lower heat and stir in cream cheese until fully melted and smooth.
  5. Add egg noodles and simmer until just tender.
  6. Return shredded chicken to the pot.
  7. Season with salt, pepper, and parsley.
  8. Simmer gently for 5 minutes and serve warm.
