- Add chicken, chicken broth, onion, and garlic to a large pot.
- Bring to a gentle simmer and cook until chicken is fully cooked and tender (about 15–20 minutes).
- Remove chicken, shred it, and set aside.
- Lower heat and stir in cream cheese until fully melted and smooth.
- Add egg noodles and simmer until just tender.
- Return shredded chicken to the pot.
- Season with salt, pepper, and parsley.
- Simmer gently for 5 minutes and serve warm.
