Ingredients
  

  • For the Dough
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • teaspoons active dry yeast 1 packet
  • 1 cup warm milk 110°F / 43°C
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter melted
  • For the Garlic Filling
  • 5 tablespoons unsalted butter softened
  • 4 cloves garlic finely minced
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley or Italian herbs optional
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese optional
  • For Brushing Optional
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter

Method
 

  1. Activate Yeast
  2. In a bowl, mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit 5–10 minutes until foamy.
  3. Make the Dough
  4. Add flour, salt, and melted butter. Mix and knead until smooth and elastic (8–10 minutes).
  5. First Rise
  6. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise until doubled (about 1 hour).
  7. Prepare Garlic Filling
  8. Mix softened butter, garlic, salt, herbs, and Parmesan if using.
  9. Shape Rolls
  10. Roll dough into a rectangle. Spread garlic butter evenly. Roll tightly into a log and slice into 12 rolls.
  11. Second Rise
  12. Arrange rolls in a greased baking dish. Cover and rise 15–20 minutes until puffy.
  13. Bake
  14. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20–22 minutes until lightly golden.
  15. Finish & Serve
  16. Brush with melted butter if desired. Serve warm.
