Ingredients
  

  • 6 oz noodles ramen, wheat, or egg noodles
  • 2 cups finely shredded green cabbage
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 green onions finely sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • ½ teaspoon sesame oil
  • ¼ teaspoon white or black pepper
  • 3 tablespoons neutral oil for pan-frying
  • Optional Dipping Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • ½ teaspoon sugar
  • ½ teaspoon sesame oil
  • Chili oil to taste (optional)

Method
 

  1. Cook noodles until just tender. Drain well and let cool slightly.
  2. In a large bowl, combine noodles, cabbage, eggs, green onions, garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, and pepper.
  3. Mix until evenly combined.
  4. Divide mixture into 8 portions and shape into compact buns.
  5. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  6. Pan-fry buns for 3–4 minutes per side until golden and crispy.
  7. Remove and rest briefly before serving.
  8. Serve hot with dipping sauce if desired.
