Ingredients
  

  • ¾ cup unsalted butter softened
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg room temperature
  • tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ¼ tsp salt

Method
 

  1. Preheat Oven
  2. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  3. Cream Butter & Sugar
  4. Beat butter and sugar until pale, light, and fluffy.
  5. Add Egg & Vanilla
  6. Mix in egg and vanilla until smooth.
  7. Add Dry Ingredients
  8. Gradually add flour and salt, mixing just until combined.
  9. Shape Cookies
  10. Scoop or pipe dough onto baking sheets. Lightly flatten if desired.
  11. Bake
  12. Bake for 10–12 minutes until set and lightly golden on the edges.
  13. Cool
  14. Cool on the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
