Ingredients
  

  • For the Chicken
  • 1 lb 450 g boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • Salt & black pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon oil vegetable or avocado
  • For the Garlic Sauce
  • 5 cloves garlic finely minced
  • cup soy sauce low sodium preferred
  • ¼ cup honey or brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • ¼ cup chicken broth or water
  • For the Noodles
  • 10 oz 280 g egg noodles or lo mein noodles
  • 2 green onions sliced (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds optional

Method
 

  1. Cook the Noodles
  2. Cook noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. Prepare the Chicken
  4. Toss chicken with cornstarch, salt, and pepper. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Crisp the Chicken
  6. Add chicken in a single layer. Cook until golden and slightly crispy on both sides. Remove and set aside.
  7. Make the Sauce
  8. In the same pan, lower heat and add garlic. Cook briefly until fragrant. Stir in soy sauce, honey, vinegar, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and broth.
  9. Combine
  10. Simmer sauce until thick and glossy. Add chicken and noodles, tossing until evenly coated.
  11. Serve
  12. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot.
