Ingredients
  

  • Meatloaf
  • 1 lb ground beef 80/20 recommended
  • ½ lb ground pork
  • 1 cup Italian-style breadcrumbs
  • ½ cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
  • Cheese Filling
  • cups shredded mozzarella or provolone cheese
  • Optional Topping
  • ½ cup marinara sauce

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, gently mix all meatloaf ingredients until just combined.
  3. Press meat mixture into a rectangle on the parchment paper.
  4. Sprinkle cheese evenly down the center, leaving space at the edges.
  5. Carefully roll the meat around the filling and seal seams.
  6. Transfer to baking dish or leave on sheet pan. Top with marinara if using.
  7. Bake for 50–55 minutes, until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  8. Rest 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
