Ingredients
  

  • For the Teriyaki Turkey
  • 1 lb 450 g lean ground turkey
  • 1 tablespoon oil avocado or vegetable
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt & black pepper to taste
  • For the Teriyaki Sauce
  • cup teriyaki sauce store-bought or homemade
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce low sodium
  • 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon honey or brown sugar optional, to taste
  • For the Bowls
  • 3 cups cooked rice white, jasmine, or brown
  • 2 cups mixed vegetables broccoli, carrots, bell peppers, snap peas
  • Green onions sliced (optional)
  • Sesame seeds optional

Method
 

  1. Cook the Turkey
  2. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add ground turkey, season lightly, and cook while breaking it up until browned and cooked through.
  3. Add the Sauce
  4. Reduce heat. Stir in teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, vinegar, and honey (if using). Simmer 2–3 minutes until glossy and slightly thickened.
  5. Cook the Vegetables
  6. Steam or sauté vegetables until just tender and vibrant.
  7. Assemble Bowls
  8. Divide rice among bowls. Top with teriyaki turkey and vegetables.
  9. Garnish & Serve
  10. Finish with green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
